The signing of the Twin Town Charter:
The relations between the two towns were put on a formal footing with the signing
of the Twin Town Charter in Ingelfingen on 14th April 1991.
The charter was countersigned in St. Héand on 7th September 1991.
Location
Situated at the edge of the Lyon Mountains and located only a few kilometres away from the busy city of Saint-Etienne, Saint-Héand offers views of the Pilat and Forez mountain ridges in the Central Massif. With its green spaces, parks and hiking paths, Saint-Héand is an ideal place to rest and relax in a refreshing amd climatically favourable location at 460 - 872 m above sea level.
